Western States Drama Review
The Review features work by and about Northwest theatre scholars and practitioners showcasing the discoveries and accomplishments of our vast and highly productive region. Topics are as varied as theatre production, community college issues, play reviews, Native American and minority theatre, theatre for youth and international theatre. The forms and submissions range from historical documentation to narrative journals to short play scripts. All contributions are considered of vital importance to our region. Contributors may serve as faculty, practicing professionals, and theatre students.

Many thanks to Western Washington University for hosting our archive.
Any faculty, staff, and student at a college or university in Region 7 is invited to submit material to the Review. The 2024 theme is “Leap.” In honor of the leap year, manuscripts/papers are encouraged to explore this theme in regard to any aspect of theatre. As editor, I hope that submissions will be inspired by creative, out-of-the-box thinking.
Winners of the KCACTF Scholarly Paper Competition will be featured in the Review. Information on the competition can be found on the Festival Events page. Other submissions are requested to be submitted by June 1, 2024.
